Reading - what I want you to do today is choose your favourite book or film, I want to know
What is your favourite part of the book/film?
Who is your favourite character? Can you draw a picture of them?
What is your favourite character like? What is their personality like?
Would you recommend this book/film to other people? Why?

Maths - we are continuing our work on reading and interpreting pictograms.

English - we are looking at the features of an adverts can you spot:
- the name of the product
- a statement about the product
- any exaggeration (e.g. where does it say its the best thing ever!)
- questions for the reader (e.g. have you ever tasted something this good?)
- reasons why they need to buy the product.
Art - this week we are sketching a chocolate bar! Choose the brand you want (Dairy Milk, Galaxy, Mars Bar, Freddo, Aero) and sketch it out, we need the outline and the most eye catching features that they have. English - today's session is about is about choosing verbs and adverbs to use in our setting description. Looking at how things move on the factory floor (e.g. the waterfall, the river, the apples, the trees etc.)
Art - today you are going to practise some pointilism techniques. You start by using the base colour, the closer the dots are the more of a shadow it creates, you could also use black to create a shadow. The further the dots are the more of shine you're drawing.

Reading - our book this week is The Day the Crayons Quit! Today's reading session is using the front cover to predict what the story could be about, then read the blurb and see if their prediction is correct.

English - using a senses table to generate some descriptive vocabulary, you can even use your own chocolate and sweets to help you generate the vocabulary for describing Mr Wonka's factory floor.
Geography - your task today is to label the equator, the hemispheres, the tropics, the poles and biomes (the tropical zone, the temperate zone and artic zone). After that, use the rainforest sheet and label the countries that the rainforests are found in.

History - we are creating a timeline on the history of chocolate! Research/discuss what a timeline is, then use the cards below to put them in order. When that is finished, find out the starting date of some of the chocolate brands and put them on a timeline (e.g. Cadbury, Nestle, Frys, Mars)
