COVID 19 Updates

 

 

If your child or someone in your child’s household presents with symptoms at home –

  • Nobody from your household will be allowed on site. Please report your child as unwell to the school office as you would normally do tel: 0161 330 7220
  • Everybody in your household including Lyndhurst pupils need to be tested straight away click here to book a test. Please communicate results to school immediately.
  • Where the pupil tests positive, the rest of their ‘bubble’ will be sent home to self-isolate for 14 days. If any of the children in this bubble, then go on to develop symptoms at home, they would also need to be tested and the result communicated to school immediately. If that pupil tests negative, they can return to school when the rest of the bubble returns. If they tested positive that individual would need to stay at home for a further 14 days, from the day they tested positive.
  • If a pupil tests negative, then the pupil must self-isolate for 14 days and the school ‘bubble’ will not disperse.
  • For children self-isolating, Home Learning Packs will be posted home and further work communicated by parent mail, dojo and the school website. 

 

If a child presents with symptoms at school –

  • We will isolate the child in school and call the parent/carer immediately.
  • The pupil with symptoms and any siblings will be sent home and need to be tested straight away click here to book a test. The results must be communicated to school immediately.
  • Where a pupil tests positive the rest of their ‘bubble’ will be sent home to self-isolate for 14 days. If any of the children in this bubble, then go on to develop symptoms at home, they would also need to be tested and the result communicated to school immediately. If that pupil tests negative, they can return to school when the rest of the bubble returns. If they tested positive that individual would need to stay at home for a further 14 days, from the day they tested positive.
  • If the pupil tests negative, then that Inspire pupil must self-isolate for 14 days and the school ‘bubble’ will not disperse.
  • For children self-isolating, Home Learning Packs will be posted home and further work communicated by parent mail, dojo and the school website.

 

What to do if a member of a Pupil’s household (not the pupil) has come into contact with someone who has tested positive for Coronavirus and no one in your household has symptoms.

  • If the everyone in the household tests negative, the pupil can return to school the next day.
  • If a household member tests positive, but not the Lyndhurst pupil, the pupil must self-isolate for 14 days and the school ‘bubble’ will not disperse.
  • Where a pupil tests positive, the rest of their ‘bubble’ will be sent home to self-isolate for 14 days. If any of the children in this bubble, then go on to develop symptoms at home, they would also need to be tested and the result communicated to school immediately. If that pupil tests negative, they can return to school when the rest of the bubble returns. If they tested positive that individual would need to stay at home for a further 14 days, from the day they tested positive.
  • If the pupil or another member of the household goes onto develop Coronavirus symptoms, please refer ‘If your child or someone in your child’s household presents with symptoms at home’ section above.
  • For children self-isolating, Home Learning Packs will be posted home and further work communicated by parent mail, dojo and the school website.

What are Coronavirus Symptoms / CV-19 Symptoms?

The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual.
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
  • Most people with coronavirus have at least 1 of these symptoms.

 What do I do if I have just come back from travel abroad?

Please check the Government website for travel advice this list the countries you need to quarantine from on return to the UK. Please may we remind you that holidays in term time are not permitted.

September Opening
