These checklists are what teachers use to assess children's reading several times throughout the year. They have been included here in more child friendly language so you can talk to your child about their reading. Children are used to talking about their reading using these grammatical terms and this vocabulary. Checklists like these are used in collaboration with phonic assessments, benchmarking and reading assessments throughout the school year.
